Lego Power Miners and Their Machines

Watch out for pesky rock monsters!

If you want some excavation action then the Lego Power Miners, are for you. These miners and there machines mean business when it comes to mining. There are four Power Miners whose names are Doc, Rex, Brains and Duke. Doc is the natural leader and has traveled fearlessly all over the world. Rex is the engineer of the crew and builds the power miner vehicles when not trying to stop the saboteur rock monsters. Brains is just what his name implies, a scientist whose inquisitive nature drives him to study the underground creatures. Last but not least is Duke, a world renowned miner, who has mined for diamonds and every precious metal but has not seen the likes of the crystals being mined or the four different rock monsters that keep getting in the way!

When it comes to mining, these four miners have the best digging vechiles available on the planet. These machines come in six Lego toy building sets:

1. Set #8956 is the small Stone Chopper but do not be fooled by its small size. This single driver machine has twin diamond bladed choppers and travels at over 300 miles per hour!

2. Set #8957 is the experimental and versatile walker, Mine Mech. It has a spinning cutter and clamp claw make this a very noisy machine that stomps, clanks, whirrles and beeps as it goes about its job.

  1. 3. Set #8958 Granite Grinder with a spotlight, jackhammer and sled wagon goes about smashing rocks and wall while rock monsters try to tip it over despite the wide tracks.
  2. 4. Set #8959 sees the rear engine Claw Digger with its heavy armor and giant spiked wheels make this machine a rock monsters nightmare!
  3. 5. Set #8960 the giant Thunder Driller is the most powerful machine in the miners digging arsenal. The magna powered engine, giant spiked wheels and rotating drill gets the miners deep into the cave and home again.
